MysticBattleJournal.blog
Log every crit, boss phase and party wipe. The battle journal Melbourne's tabletop crews trust to remember what really happened at the table.

Why I started keeping the journal
It started with an argument. Our Thursday group had just downed a lich after three sessions, and nobody could agree on who landed the killing blow. We had scraps of paper, a half-dead battery on the initiative app, and a rogue who swore she rolled a natural 20. That night I opened a notebook and started writing everything down — every round, every save, every dumb table quote.
Two years later that notebook became MysticBattleJournal.blog. It is a home for the encounters we never want to forget: the round-by-round logs, the boss phase trackers, the loot ledgers and the campaign recaps that turn a messy night of dice into a story you can actually reread.
We built it in a share-house in Fitzroy, tested it with real groups across Melbourne, and we still run our own campaign every Thursday. If you have ever finished a session and thought "we have to remember this one" — this is for you.

Rating breakdown
“We stopped arguing about what happened last week. I read the recap out loud, everyone remembers, and we roll initiative five minutes faster. The boss phase tracker alone saved our final fight.”
“As a first-time DM the loot ledger took a huge weight off. No more spreadsheets, no more "wait who has the wand?". My players actually check the journal between sessions now.”
“I run two campaigns and play in a third. Being able to flip between journals and pull up a two-year-old fight in seconds is genuinely magic. Worth every dollar on the Guild Master plan.”
“The crit stats page is a running joke in our group — turns out our paladin really is cursed. Little touches like that make people want to keep logging.”
